overheard at piggly wiggly

(guy stocking shelves)"yeah, you know that magic word snow?" Well, people came and bought us out of __________________."

We had a snow flurry shower this morning. Little flurries were dancing everywhere in the wind. And obviously people were preparing to be snowed in.

We pulled our sleds out but took them back in cause we couldn't find the snowflake anymore.

They are calling for some real snow on Wednesday evening. I should probably go and get bread before it's gone.

P.S. Piggly Wiggly is the name of a southern chain of stores.

P.P.S. We actually don't own a sled.

Why written down big?

I love the book, "Mr. God, this is Anna." It is a book about the relationship between an extraordinary little girl, and a young man who befriended her. Anna marveled daily at the world she lived in. Little things we consider ordinary were moments of wonder for her. And folks never could understand why, in any such moment of wonder, this strange little girl would shove a pen and piece of paper at them with the command to write it down big. She wanted written expression to the inner exclamation marks she was feeling.
This blog is a medium for me to write down big some of the things I feel. I never can quite tell when I will feel the pen and paper being shoved at me so the posts may be random and interesting :).
